What do we do?

We are student tutors who want to help our fellow students understand otherwise incomprehensible information. Lost yet? Basically, we're going to be tutoring students in subjects where they need help in, but the tutors themselves are students. This way we can be more relatable and whatnot. Don't need any help? Well, swing by anyways to help your friends: you can be a tutor too!
The following subjects currently have tutors:

*Be forewarned: Not all subjects are available each week. It depends on which tutors are available.*

Who are we?

Our wonderful sponsor is Mr. Gambino. The President of the club is Sejal Parmar. Feel free to contact nvhstutoring@gmail.com with any questions.

I'm still confused...

Well, that's exactly why we're here... to help you understand information you don't! Just swing by on Thursday after school (anywhere from 2:45-3:45) at D125 (that's at Main), and we'll get you sorted out.

I don't have time to go every week... Can I still come?

Absolutely! Anyone who needs help can show up at anytime before 4, but keep in mind that our tutors leave at 4. We also highly recommend checking out Khan Academy. It's a complete lifesaver, and also good for enrichment work to stay on top of your game.

Want to Tutor?

You've come to the right place. Tutors will receive community service hours. We would love to have more tutors, but keep in mind, we cannot have too many either.
There are certain requirements needed to be a tutor...
  • To tutor in a subject you are currently in, you must maintain an average of a B+ or higher.
  • You may tutor in courses you have already completed.
  • You must email nvhstutoring@gmail.com beforehand if you will not make it to a meeting.
  • If you do come, then arrive by 2:45 pm in D125 at main.
We're not currently looking for new tutors, but sign up anyway if you are interested. If you are selected, we will notify you ASAP.

Community Service!

If you are a tutor, we will keep track of your hours. To redeem your credit, simply show up on a club day with a community service form filled out. We'll sign it, and voila! You have your hours.

Here is a link to the form: Neuqua Valley Community Service Verification Form

Tutor Sign-Up: You must sign up to receive service credit

Indicate all subjects and whether they are honors or not.
